chr. and bur. instead of b. and d.
This has probably been asked before and, if so, I apologise.
At the moment my diagram output is set to give names and birth, marriage (if female) and death dates. The relevant code is:
%INDI.NAME%
{picture}
b. %INDI.BIRT.DATE:COMPACT%
d. %INDI.DEAT.DATE:COMPACT%
{if female} m. %FAM.MARR.DATE:COMPACT%
I'm quite happy with this for all post 1837 data, even if I have additional information such as christening and burial dates. However, for dates prior to this, the best I have is often only a christening date and burial date from the parish registers. Is there any way, possibly similar to the {if female} type of instruction where I can have, for example, 'chr. 2 Feb 1834' and 'bur. 4 Oct 1835' when the birth and death fields have not been completed?
I realise that I could set up a b, d, chr and bur text scheme that would only display the information where completed but I don't particularly want to display the chr and bur dates if I also have the b and d information for the individual.
Does that make sense?
Also, is there a list of all the keywords that can be used in the curly brackets?
Many thanks for any help,
Mark

chr. and bur. instead of b. and d.
This is quite high on the wish list (you will need to sign in to view it).
So hopefully a few more votes will get Calico to put it in.
I haven't seen a list, I think there are just the two or three used in the sample text schemes.

Thanks Jane. I have now registered and voted for this on the wish list. I would have thought it was fairly standard practice to display chr. and bur. info on a diagram when no b. and d. date is known. I was surprised that not more people were interested in the feature.

Mark

This exchange has prompted me to add my vote - perhaps others will join in too. It would be a v useful addition.

I would like to vote for this, too, but... please, where is it?
