Is there a list of data references for each of the fields in properties?
E.G Custom ID is (%INDI.REFN%)

There is not a list as such, mostly because data references can be recursive.
So you can say the persons. fathers fathers fathers name.
%INDI.FAMC[1]>HUSB>FAMC[1]>HUSB>FAMC[1]>HUSB>NAME[1]%
The best way to find/build data references is to use the data reference button on the diagrams or the data reference list on the left when building custom queries.

Many thanks for your prompt reply.
The recursive element is, I think, a matter of correct usage (syntax) for each of the data references. It still leaves the problem of trying to determin for any given field in an individual's probperty what the correct reference is. This is because there are so many similar sounding references. I have to resort to trail and error which is time consuming.
Otherwise a great product.
PS: is there any chance of the software supplier providing such a list as one must exist for the design of the database etc?

Have you tried using the navigator for each of the end fields.
