simple relatives chart on A4

I would like to have a relative chart to fit on 1 A4 page with name,birth,death without box. I want to produce a paper A4 chart, just for refering back to when researching. Is there a way of acheiving this ?

Yes.

Choose whatever type of Diagram you prefer ~ maybe All Relatives or maybe Ancestor.
I assume you want a text only Diagram with no Pictures.

Use the Diagram Options > Text tab, and select Birth, Marr, Death as the Text Scheme.

Now use the Pictures tab and set Preference: to None.

Now use the Boxes tab, then click the Presets button bottom right, and choose No Box.

I advise you also untick Save as default bottom left, otherwise your defaults will be affected.
Then click OK.

To preserve this setting use Diagram > Save Diagram As > Custom Diagram Type and give it a memorable name such as No Picture or Box.
It can be re-used via View > Custom Diagram Types > No Picture or Box (or whatever you chose).

To fit on one page, use Diagram > Save Diagram As > PDF File (.pdf) and ensure the setting Adjust PDF File Page Size so that Diagram fits into One Page (if possible) is selected.
Complete the PDF creation dialogues.

Great Thanks, all worked well until I got to 'save as pdf' for some reason I got this message.

'PDF output is not enabled'

Anyone help.

You might be able to fix this by (re-)installing the upgrade to version 5.0.9

A Search for PDF output is not enabled reveals several helpful postings including:
