Having entered a number of conditions as expressions in the Boxes tab of the Diagram dialog I want to save these as part of the default diagram settings. I've checked the relevant box for this, but they don't appear to be saved. I can understand that they may not be applied retrospectively to pre-existing diagrams, but I had assumed they would be used in newly-created ones. I see that there was reference to this problem in earlier versions of v5, and supposed to have been fixed in 5.0.4; I'm running 5.0.7. Have I misunderstood exactly what is included in the default diagram settings?

Using the Save as default tick box option works OK on my V5.0.9.
But remember these default settings only apply to the five special Standard Diagrams.
These are the top five above the line in View > Standard Diagram Types, four of which are Icons on the toolbar.

The expressions were entered in one of my Saved Charts, which had been created by clicking on the All Relatives icon. All of my charts started by my clicking on one of the four standard diagram icons (almost always the All Relatives one). Does this mean that any changes made to saved charts do not get saved as the default?

I usaually choose to make sure the tick box 'save as default' is ticked, then also go to diagram> settings> save as default.
That has always worked for me (Except for a minor hiccup with 5.0.2)

Thanks for that suggestion. That has worked OK for me too. Obviously the tick box in the options dialog box doesn't work, but at least I now know to use the menu item for saving default settings. Very grateful for your help.

I think the tick boxes, may be tab specific, but I have not tested it extensively.
