Date of Birth

Post by Ruthie » 16 Jun 2003 07:16

Having promised myself I wouldn't buy until I could have book type reports I weakened and bought yesterday.
In my previous program I entered christening dates and if I did not know the birth date entered the birthdate as bef christening date.
So a christening on the '31 Dec 1870' would give a birth 'Bef 31 Dec 1870' in Family Historian I am given a birth date 'Bef 1870'. This may be accurate for some, but excludes the possibility of the child being born between 1 Jan 1870 and 31 Dec 1870.

Can anyone help please?[confused]

Is this on the reports and/or diagrams?
I presume on the Properties dialog and record window the detail still shows the full date.

You can configure the format of the date to show longer dates.

If you can detail where you want to change the information, more detailed instructions can be given.
