Publish with a Prefixed Name

Post by stewartrb » 05 Jul 2012 16:31

I think I understand the difference between a NAME and an NAME:ADORNED_FULL.

I have found a lot of Reverends in my wife's ancestry. I'd like them to appear in my Ancestors by Generation report so shown. I.e. 'Reverend Jay Smith.'

It's not enough to have a title 'Reverend' and the name 'Jay Smith' because the published report ignores titles.

It's apparently not enough to ensure all the Reverends are given a Name Prefix of 'Reverend' and the Report Options, Format, Heading, Record, Text is changed to %INDI.NAME:ADORNED_FULL% (=LifeDates2()).

I see 6 options for dates. I see no options for names. Not in the published report.

Now in the diagram I can use ADORNED_FULL.

How can I use ADORNED_FULL in the Narrative Reports?

Thanks.

The options you mention only affect the one Record Heading at the top of the Report, and not the names at each Generation.

The only way is to include the Name Prefix before the persons Forenames in the Primary Name field.

The Plugin Adjust AKA Names for Reports might be adapted to do the trick.
