I must be missing something but what does this search? Where are the 'text fields', 'long text' , 'names' found? I always get 'not found'. If I put in my first name I get 'not found.' If I open a note in a record and copy a word then enter that word I get 'not found.' What is this plug-in looking at?
Thanks

It seems to be running OK for me.
Can you confirm you have all the boxes ticked except the case sensitive one.

Jane, would this Plugin benefit from a similar makeover as we gave to Search and Replace Text?

Yes, that's how I have it. I tried it on a couple of projects with no success.Jane said:

That's very strange, is anyone else having an issue with it.

Works fine for me (except for Keywords).
By the way:
Text fields are any field (except INDI.NAME) which can contain a limited length of text all on a single line, e.g. Place, Occupation, Nickname.
Long Text fields can contain text of any length extending over multiple lines, e.g. Notes, Addresses, Text from Source.
Names are only the Names of Individuals (INDI.NAME) but not Nicknames (INDI.NAME.NICK).
Places are any Place fields, e.g. INDI.BIRT.PLAC.
However, Keywords doesn't seems to search anything, and Multimedia Keywords are searched only if Text fields is ticked.

Peter are you using 1.3 I re-worked the routines to not use keywords etc as they are not what you might think they are.

Sorry, Jane, quite right, I was using v1.2. I've been away for a few weeks and after several attempts have now updated all my installed plugins, many via Check Installed Plugins Against the Store but some had to be done manually because of various mismatch issues, as discussed elsewhere.
Just out of curiosity, please can you let me know where the Class Wordlist is in fact used.

I had a similar discussion with Jane regarding the Search and Replace Plugin.
See Search and Replace Plugin - Calico.
Neither of us know of any data that uses the Word Lists / Key Words Class.
