* Picasa 3 to FH5

I have a large nunber of individuals tagged within Picasa3.
Would/should it be possible to link image file from add media in property box to same tagged name within Picasa 3 thus allowing quicker and easier selection of photos to be included within FH5?

I am not really clear on what you are trying to do?

Are you trying to import from Picassa? If so how is the data stored and how are you expecting to extract it?

FH is not able to detect Picasa3 individual tags, because they are are an internal feature of Picasa3.

In FH you will have to locate the image files that you have tagged in Pacasa3 and add them as Multimedia images.

Thanks folks it could have been so useful and I thought with waht you have done with plugins for maps and census.........

IF picassa writes the tags back to your images and they are in an easy format it might be possible to extract the data from the image files using a plugin, or if picassa can export a CSV or similar again you could use this as a base for a plugin.

Just checked properies of image and individuals are identified in People Tags box within Picasa.......any use?

If they are only in Picassa, there is probably no way for another program to use them

This is the only API can see and it does not appear to export the tag information only the file name.
