I am using FH 4.1.3. I have the property box undocked.
Is there any way to get the property box to open automatically when I open FH? I have FH set to open to the Focus Window. In the preferences, I have the Preferred Position for Property Box set to 'Floating' and the Property Box Action set to 'Open it' for all three choices (Focus Window, Record Window, and Other Windows'.
It isn't a big deal to open it by clicking on the icon in the toolbar, but if I could set it to open automatically, that would be even better.
Thanks,

I think you're settings are right, but it could be a small bug, I'll pass it to Calico.
If you dock the Property box it works ok, it's just where the Box is floating.

The same problem applies to the Records Window if that is chosen to be displayed instead of the Focus Window at Startup.
Switching between Focus Window and Records Window after Startup opens the Floating Property Box OK.

Automatically open property box if undocked?
Thanks Jane and Tatewise.
Yes... it works fine when I have it docked. I like to have it floating because I can get more children to display when it is floating because the line with 'Individual:' followed by the name, the menu bar, and the icon bar don't display at the top when it is floating.
I'll just keep clicking on the icon to display the property box until the bug is fixed.
