Probably three stupid questions, but here goes - I'm thinking of using DropBox, but presumably my files will be on there instead of on my computer? So what happens if something goes wrong with DropBox?
At the moment my photos are in 'My Pictures' though I do copy them over when I use them, does this mean that when I copy them they are now in my Project folder?
2GB of space doesn't sound very much, will it hold all of my project, my photos (family history and others) and maybe other assorted documents?
I have read the comments on here, but I'm still confused, old age must be kicking in.[cry]

My your files will be on your computer(s) and on Dropbox, so there are always at least 2 copies of each file (I do recommend also backing up to another location as a full backup as well, as if you delete files from your PC they will be deleted from Dropbox as well).my files will be on there instead of on my computer? If FH is copying them they will be in your Project Folder, you can use the Tools/Work With External File links to check. At the moment my photos are in 'My Pictures' though I do copy them over when I use them, does this mean that when I copy them they are now in my Project folder?
You can quickly check the size of your Project folder, by right clicking on it in Windows Explorer and selecting Properties. If you really need more space you can always buy a larger Dropbox $10 a month for 50Gb.2GB of space doesn't sound very much, will it hold all of my project, my photos (family history and others) and maybe other assorted documents?

I have more than 1,000 images & photos, each on average roughly 1Mb in size.
My main project has over 2,000 files and is less than 1Gb in total.
So my project would only half fill Dropbox 2Gb.
There are other ways to get more free space on Dropbox.
