I am trying to print out as many names as possible on an A3 printer. Could anyone suggest the font which will give a the smallest easily read font? Are there any tips you can give me to let me include b.m.d dates and occupation and place on the basis of the maximum number of names per page. Many thanks

You could use a Query to capture the data fields you need and then export to a spreadsheet. That way you can then format the columns in order to maximise the amount of information shown. You will probably need to experiment with printouts to find the smallest font you can comfortably read and then re-format the spreadsheet to suit your needs.

I presume you are talking about large tree Diagrams.
If so, here are my ideas, that will produce boxes like this:

Start with View > Standard Diagrams > Ancestors & Descendants.
Then use Diagram > Options and work through the following tab settings.
General tab:
Increase the Generations Up/Down values.
I find you can fit more on a page if you use:
Orientation: Left-right
Scaling: 50%
Diagrams are clearer with plain backgrounds:
Background: One colour
Boundary lines: No boundaries
Boxes tab (optional):
Select Box Type and for each type use Edit Features and alter Box Fill colour to white.
Text tab:
Select Text Scheme Birth, Marr, Death, Occups + notes, click Clone button, and give your custom scheme a name.
Select this new scheme, and click Edit button.
Initial font: Arial, 8 pt; ... ~ Sans-serif fonts like Arial are clearer.
Date Format: Abbrev[3]
Place Format: Short
Under Items Used in This Text Scheme, select Item and click Box States and Pages, Rows/Columns & Boxes as necessary.
Use Diagram > Save Diagram As > Custom Diagram Type so you can re-use these settings again in the future.
Use Diagram > Diagram Statistics to see the Diagram Size.
Use Diagram > Save Diagram As > PDF File (.pdf) and click on more options for generating PDF files and note the advice about Printing Large Charts.
Proceed with producing the PDF file and then use Adobe Reader to Print and Scale the file to the paper.

Thanks very much indeed for two very practical solutions. Just what I wanted.
