I have a problem with the ordering of events in the Property Box. A relative, having given birth to no less than 10 singleton children between 1839 and 1852 (and buried 4 of them), finally gave birth to boy/girl twins in Q2 1854 and promptly died (of sheer exhaustion probably!). The twins also died. Her husband remarried the following quarter then he himself died within 6 months, leaving his widowed bride with 6 orphaned stepchildren. I think even Dickens would have considered this plotline too far-fetched!
The births of the twins and the death of the mother have each been entered with a date of Q2 1854. On the mother's Fact Tab, when sorted by date her death comes before the births of the twins. However when sorted by age (in each case estimated by FH as (38-39)), the death is placed at the end as it should be. Even more bizarrely, whether I sort by date or by age and click the 'List in Record Order' button to activate the up/down arrows, the death leaps to the top of the tab immediately below her birth and the only arrow available is up!
How can I reorder the events so that the births of her twins come before the death of the mother?

As both the dates are identical, FH will just add the events in a 'random' order. I would suggest either getting the two certificates so you have the exact dates or adjusting the Mothers death date slightly.

The explanation of the 'bizarre' List in Record Order is that Events are listed in the following record order:
Individual Events (with blue dot) such as Birth & Death
Family Events (with red dot) such as Marriage & Divorce
Child Events (with grey dot) such as Birth of Children
Individual Events (with blue dot) such as Birth & Death
Family Events (with red dot) such as Marriage & Divorce
Child Events (with grey dot) such as Birth of Children

Thank you, Jane and tatewise, for explaining how FH orders things. I can understand that death wouldn't necessarily be the final event in an individual record (allowing for burial, probate etc) but I had assumed that childbirth would automatically precede a death event. They are very remote relatives so I shan't be getting any certificates and they'll just have to stay random!
