Autosave

Post by appleybridger » 19 Sep 2010 14:39

Until recently the file I was working on was saved automatically in the background as I was still working on the file(I have autosave enabled to save every 5 mins)

Now however, I have started getting a dialogue box asking me if i want to save the file. When I click yes another dialogue box opens telling me there is already a file of that name and do I want to overwrite it.

This problem only seems to have occurred since I downloaded the most recent update.

Any suggestions please?

It might be worth checking the following:

Go to Tools> Preferences and select the Backup tab. The option to 'Generate Backup File Name.....' should be ticked.

Have you installed any 'Auto' backup software? Mozi or the BT one for example, these can sometimes cause conflicts when saving files, as they mark the files in use while they back them up.

Have the box ticked and no, there is no back-up software installed.
