and Win 3.1 WFWG was the dogs dodars I used to be able to program command keys i.e. CTRL +W or ALT +W with short sentences for repetititve entry's. I can't remember how I did it, can anyone help ?

There's an article about using Windows Hosting Script for creating keyboard macros at http://www.icpug.org.uk/national/features/030316fe.htm Not sure if it's exactly what you're looking for, but it dates from the right era [grin]

Both AutoHotkey http://www.autohotkey.com and PhraseExpress http://www.phraseexpress.com work for me.

Thanks Nick and tatewise, autohotkey cracked it. But I'm pretty sure there was a program included with Win 3.1 that I used to change the Hotkey's. At the time I had no access to the internet.
