I have the latest version of Family Historian and after making a cd copy of my research for my sister. It will not open on her laptop, the error message states the recipient pc wants to know what programme created it I am stuck can anyone help?

You didn't say what programme your sister has, but if it is FH she needs to go to File then 'Restore'.

What did you put on the CD?
Did you use the Create CD option or have you copied the Family Historian Project on to the CD?
If she has a MAC Laptop rather than a PC she will need to go in and open the index.html file directly.
