Using continuous forms

Post by djac » 09 Aug 2010 15:22

Hello

I've searched the FH help and the forums on here but can't find an answer to my problem.

I am using an Epson LQ1170 with continuous plain white paper. I want to print an 'All Relations chart' such that it prints in 3 (or however many) 'vertical' strips which I can tape together.

I have set the printer up with the appropriate settings - Fanfold paper, tractor feed. But FH seems to be insisting on splitting the vertical strips into separate pages.

I am not 100% sure if this is a printer problem, Windows problem or a FH problem. But I'm fairly sure this is the most likely place to find others who have tried to print in this manner. I DO know that I can achieve the desired result in FTW, so this leads me to suspect FH is interfering in some way.

I am running WinXP SP3 32 bit, and using the Windows-supplied printer drivers.

Thanks

David

FH (and windows printing in general) was not designed for dot matrix printers, but if you change to page set up to a very wide page it should work OK, this is how you do it with Plotters, I can't test it at the moment as I don't have a dot matrix printer or plotter attached.
