I'm having considerable difficulty with pictures in reports.
1. When I have a picture of the whole family, with children, placed in the mother's report, it shows her maiden name instead of married name.
How do I override this to show her married name?
2. Individual pictures. Same example as above.
I've selected 'use note as caption', but no matter what I do, it NEVER shows in the report. and yes, I have text in the note field.
I've used the default installation options, and then tried every single combination I can think of. Am I doing something wrong?
EDIT: Also, how do I select which picture to use for a child in a parent's report?

A woman's maiden name is normally used in Family Historian reports, if you want to change the caption on the photographs, you can change the settings to show the caption from the Photograph rather than the normal one with Name and age.
It's working fine for me on the reports I have tired, which report format are you having issues with?
The photo shown is normally the first listed image for that person, so just order the photos with your preferred image first or change the photos you don't want to not show on reports in the media settings

That's what I've been doing - to no avail whatsoever. I believe I said, 'I've selected 'use note as caption', but no matter what I do, it NEVER shows in the report. and yes, I have text in the note field.'
It all comes down to checking the 'use note as caption' box. Any time I use it, whatever text is under the picture totally disappears. So I really dunno what's going on here. Either I'm missing a step, or something's bonkered with the program.
It's the individual summary report.
I'll see what I can do with re-ordering the photos, hadn't thought of that. Thanks.

Can you confirm you have set the media as below.
The note you need is the lower one as the Picture Note as the top is for the whole image and not for the link.

Aha, so that's why I couldn't get it to work - I had assumed, because of the 'Picture note' field near the top that it was the note referred to by the box.
There's absolutely nothing to indicate that box to the left is a note field. Perhaps Calico Pie needs to fix that with a title or make it clear in the help file, which is totally useless (not to mention inaccurate on some details) in this situation.
Thanks for your help, Jane!
