How to record both Adopted and Natural Parents

Post by mitzi » 09 Jan 2010 12:08

Hello
I want to record both the adoptive and natural parents of one of my relatives... is it possible to show 2 sets of parents? or is there another convention I could use? I have version 3 of family historian.

Thanks

How to record both Adopted and Natural Parents

OK, I have worked out how to add two sets of parents to a child. I have a couple more questions

Will doing this cause problems in Family historian?

Is it possible to displayboth sets of parents in the diagram at the same time?

Answers very much appreciated, thanks...

This has been discussed many time previously, just search for Adoption. There are no issues with people having multiple families as child.

See http://www.fhug.org.uk/cgi-bin/index.cg ... y&num=3778 for a method for showing multiple families.

That technique requires V4 as you need to be able to have different orientations.
