I have noticed two possible bugs in V4's website generator.
I have created and published a website of my FH data. If you look here:
http://www.uplyme.com/genealogy/ind995.html
you will see the page for Wilfred WHITING. The surname of his spouse is not shown and he does not have a daughter called Ursula. However if you click on the link to his spouse, her surname is shown - Francis DURBIN and they now correctly have a daughter called Ursula.
I have run 'validate' on my GEDCOM and nothing odd was found. I can navigate through FH for this family and all the data is as expected, so I suspect a buglet in the website generator.
Is this a known problem and if so is there a tale for fixing it please ?
All the best,
Geoff.

It's not something I have seen, it might be worth sending your gedcom file and the details to support at family-historian.co.uk so they can look to see if its a data problem or a program one.
Are any of the people involved marked as private or living?

Hi Jane, thanks for your response.
Neither is flagged at all. Wilfred and Frances are marked as divorced but I can't imagine that should change anything.
The odd thing is that Ursula appears on her mother's page, but not her father's and the mother's surname does not appear on the husband's page.
I used this facility for a long time with V3 and its only with V4 that I have noticed these glitches.
It's a fairly minor irritation as the online version of my work is mostly a 'search magnet' to encourage fellow BROWNE or FLOWER researchers to email me, but I thought CP might be interested in hearing about it.
Cheers,
Geoff.

Could the problem be associated with the fact you have two different headings on the pages; 'BROWNE and FLOWER family research' on Wilfred's page as against 'BROWNE genealogy and FLOWER genealogy' on Frances' page? This suggests that the pages are getting mixed up between different generations of the site.
Suggestion : try deleting your folder on the server and your disc, regenerate the site and FTP it again.

Hi John,
Spot on mate. Why didn't I notice the version difference ?
Looks like the FTP upload got interrupted and the last few files never made it to the webserver, hence older versions were served along with the newer ones.
Thanks very much for that John - I uploaded it all again and now we're fine. Sorry FH, it was me all along !
I suppose it might be a 'nice to have' feature if the FH website generator had an option to append a unique suffix to the website filenames based upon an arbitary version no of the site, but that would mean recreating and uploading the entire site each time, rather than just changed pages.
Cheers,
Geoff.
