Narrative Report - paper size

When I create a narrative report and look at it in Word, the paper size is 'custom' and I have to change it to A4. I have gone back to all the default Options settings, so I don't think it is there. Please advise.

The file is saved as an RTF file which to my knowledge does not contain a page size as in A4 only the paper size.

When I save the narrative report as an RTF document, it is stored and then automatically opened in MS Word. When I go to Page Setup - Paper Size, it says 'Custom size' and has the dimensions 20.39 cm x 29.1 cm. There is drop-down from which I can select A4 210 mm x 297 mm).
- Where did 20.39 cm x 29.1 cm come from?
- Can I tell FH I want dimensions of 210 mm x 297 mm?
