Installing on a netbook

Not tried on a Netbook, as I only have a laptop, I might be tempted to copy the files locally on to the Netbook and try the upgrade again.

Also check your disk space, if you have a solid state drive they are really rather small.

Thanks Jane but alas have copied files on to hard drive and no install (Hard drive is not solid state) It comes with error 123 The filename, directory name or volume label syntax is incorrect.    Unable to create directory (Perhaps characters too long for file???)

Are you in the process if creating a Project?

If so try a really short name for the project title, it might be the way your hard drive is formatted, which may limit the project folder name length.

Please can you detail exactly how far in you are getting.

If you are getting to the point where it asks for an install directory, could you try picking a different directory for the install.

Also what OS is your netbook using?

I suspect this will need to be passed to Calico, as if it's related to the other one. I have sent you a PM.

Belay that last one.

Please try using the patch which is downloadable from the Family Historian Site.
