I usualy use my laptop when visiting family members to show them latest developments etc.
However, I seem to have a problem with keeping both computers in sync. I copy the data from the project files ok but seem to have a problem with program settings eg icons on diagrams etc.
What is the best way to ensure that both computers are displaying the same data in the same way.

FH settings on a laptop
I have read the 'how to' article and the whole process seems very complicated, especially for computer novices. Asking them to alter settings within the system registry seems fraught with danger.
The project folder in FH4 has made the transfer of data between computer and laptop very easy, especially if multimedia links are contained within the project data folder.
However, program preferences, icons, report settings etc etc seem to be kept in numerous places. I would like to see the next version of FH keep all these settings within one folder like (but not) the project folder for data.
I have noticed many different downloads available on the FHUG site which I would like to try but never know where to put them. If there was a 'settings' folder then they could automatically go there.

The majority of the downloads can be saved to any folder (downloads or the desktop say) then double click them to install.
The settings which reside in the registry are very few and change very little, once installed I don't change mine.
The moving of files from Application data can also be done using the export/import options with in the current version, you just can't do them all at once.
