Is there any way to export and import new tab definitions for the property box. I imagine a number of us are happily creating these and I'd like to share mine if possible.

At the moment you can extract the files from the Application data area, and zip them up, but there is not a built in export/import routine.
When things calm down a bit I will try and do some words for doing it.

I have at least found the files and proven that I can change them with a text editor, which makes setting up repetitive columns of fields much quicker (e.g Census flag in part 1, place and address in Part2 for censuses from 1841 to 1911 inclusive.) Which will make my life easier when my partner in crime sees what I've done and wants the same things himself...

Custom tab definitions
I wanted to create a simple piece of text on my custom tab but you can't do it through the Customise function.
But you can do it through the backdoor.
Simply create a line on the following principle:-
Item10=CUSTOM-'text',Y,'','DO NOT CREATE NEW ENTRIES HERE',0,0,4,Y,50,F
The empy quotes after Y are where the normal data reference would go.
Usual caveats about tinkering where you shouldn't [wink]
Incidently, the reason for my wanting to put a text warning to myself was because I had added the census entries to the screen and tried to create a new entry in one - big no-no[frown]. That has to be done through the correct procedure.
