I would like to install my copy of FH3 on my laptop for use away from home, but the only disc I have is the FH3 upgade disc. Is there anyway do do this or must I buy a new copy.

Did you have V2 originally?
I do have some boxed copies of V2 about, but to be honest if you were intending moving to V4 then probably buying the Full download or Boxed version of V4 is probably the easiest way.

I began with the original version of Historian and kept upgrading. I've been trying out v4 on my lap top and quite like it. If I upgraded my copy of version 3 on my pc could I use the new key to activeate the trial version on my pc?

If you don't have your V2 CD then you won't be able to install the V3 upgrade, in order to use the V4 upgrade.
If I was in that situation I would pay the extra £10 for the full download version or Boxed set and that will allow you to simply install V4 on both machines from a single CD/Exe
