creating internet site

Post by sue120502 » 25 Mar 2009 13:20

I have used FH to create an internet site but don't like how the photographs are displayed one underneath each other.

Can anyone tell me, is there a setting that I need to consider to get them to line up across the page instead of down.

I've tried all sorts but nothing seems to make any difference.

Thanks and regards,
Sue [cry]

They work across the page for me, have you changed the settings on the report you are using to go across the page.

If you still can't do it, you will need to detail which report formats you are using for the web site and what you have changed the settings to.

I am using the installation settings except that I have said to show up to 10 photos.

I've attached a clip of the Ancestors of Susan Patricia Bonnington page and as you can see, the photo's are listed down.

When viewing a person via the Index page, the photo's are of Susan (me actually) are listed downwards - after my husband's details and before mine.Image

Change the setting to show the images across the page in the report. In the same place as you changed the number of images in options the drop down box next to the number of images.

Thanks Jane, at least I now get 3 rows of 4 photo's on the individual page, below my husbands details and above mine. Not ideal because there is loads of space to the right that could be filled up with photo's.

Your suggestion has not made any difference to the The first generation photo arrangement though, ie. still in one long column. Should I be looking at something else?

Again, thanks for your time.
Sue

Remember the pages are designed to be viewed on 800px screens. So if you have a wide screen you might well end up with space to the right, you could always output larger images.

I can't think of much else to change other than going in and editing the html if you really want very wide pages.

I don't use the web generator much as I use TNG for my site.
