Marriage Entries

Post by beth » 19 Jan 2004 20:01

Marriage dates in GenoPro have not been picked up when exported to FH. When I enter them in an individual's properties they do not appear anywhere other than in Individual Record attached to Spouse family - not in a record column nor in a simple diagram. Am I missing something?

Sorry could you explain in a bit more detail.

If you select a text scheme with marriage dates do they no appear.

In the GEDCOM file are the dates shown in the correct section or are they rejected UDFed in the Verification routine on installation.

Are you adding columns to the records window from the data interface if so what field name are you using.

Your questions - I'm not sure what you mean by text scheme - can find no ref in help. The dates were not rejected as UDF on importing. I'm told that the record list (Label) can be viewed in the named list pane but it has zero items. I have added marriage date as a column and can of course overcome the problem by typing the date for each marriage. The problem may be that after updating geno from 1.5 to 1.91b before exporting to FH, marriage dates still appear in label column despite there being an empty marriage date column.

In the field as exported, opened in notepad, from GenoPro do the dates appear in the file. They should be in the family record as below.

0 @F1@ FAM
1 MARR
2 DATE 30 AUG 1986

I presume from your reply they do show once you key them in, where you expect them to.

Thank you for help. By copying column of label info, pasting into marriage date column, in GenoPro, then exporting to FH, I have got marriage date in FH.Success.
