Diagram showing relationship between two people

Is it possible to produce diagrams that show simply how two people in a family are related.

What Im after is a simple diagram that will route each of the individuals back to the common ancestor.

Now I know I could do that by doing a descendant chart from the common ancestor and then 'pruning' all the branches Im not interested in but it would be nice to select one individual from the database and then the other and for FH to do all the pruning for me and then just show the direcect relationship.

You can do quite a bit by using the line custom query. So you select the common ancestor and mark the line to one person, then from the common ancestor to the second person and mark then hide the rest.

Never used Custom queries so I guess a bit of reading of the manual is needed

What I've been doing is constructing a Tree of all the descendants of Sophia electress of Hanover and constructing all the inter marriages. Some of the diagrams being produced look pretty complicated.

what would have been nice at the end would have been a simple way of selecting any two people say Our Current Queen and Her Husband Prince Philip and then producing a chart which shows all their possible relation ships through all the lines.

just as an aside is it possible to thicken up just some of the chart Lines to show say a line of descent from one individual to another?

I don't think you can change the lines, but obviously you can change the box type, border or colour if you want to, based on a flag.
