Source Summary Report

Post by normandowns » 02 Oct 2003 23:14

Is there a limit to the length of text which can be displayed in the 'Actual text' field on this report? I have a source (a will) which has a fair bit of text. Since the original is hand-written and not very legible I want to include all the text in this field. It all shows up fine on the 'Record Detail - Sources' report, but the 'Source Summary Report' cuts it off about half way.

It looks like it could be a bug, I have passed it over to Calico for an answer, when I tried it the report had 6 blank pages where text should have been.

As a work around I would use the record detail report for now.

I can confirm that this is a bug.  My apologies for that.  It will be fixed in release 2.2.  While looking at it I noticed that the initial page throw is inappropriate too (because it can't get the whole thing onto the current page, it starts on the next one).  That too should be fixed in 2.2.

Thanks Jane and Simon for your prompt attention.

It's great to be using software with this sort of support.

I agree Norman, this is a huge advantage to FH. Also the program is much better than anything else around for my research, this is not just a case of slagging everyone else its just the s/w is so versatile and if there are some things missing, which there will be s this is a very new product you can contact the help group and the creator of the s/w. Thanks to both Simon and Jane, keep up the good work
