unable to upload image

I just got a new computer and I was having a problem with Ancestral Sources, so I tried to upload an image in my forum post to show what the problem was.

When I tried to upload the file I got the following:

Upload failed!
xxxxx.jpg
Upload Failed

and the only option was to close the window.

I never had any problems uploading images with my old computer.

The image file is only 18kb.

Any ideas?

If you email me the image I'll try uploading it and look at the logs to see if it was on the server.

Jane,

How do I attach an image when sending you an email? I only see the box in which to enter text when I click on the 'mail' icon.

The name of the file was: Ancestral Sources v2.0.jpg.

Just to let you know, I've tried uploading several files and none of them will upload. So, I'm not sure the problem is with this particular image.

Can you upload images to other sites? have you tried using a different browser or turning off your firewall?

Also try with simple alphanumeric filenames with no spaces and no dots except for the last dot before jpg

Jane and Mike,

I am able to upload to other sites without any problems using both IE9 and Firefox. These files had names with spaces and special characters, so maybe this is a limitation of the facility that the forum message software uses?

I took Mike's suggestion and renamed the file to have just alphanumeric characters with no spaces and that worked fine.

I'll try to remember that in the future when uploading images here.
