Repository Editing

Post by Johnyeates » 28 Oct 2012 18:17

I find that I have different names for the same repository.
I cant find a way of :-
a) finding the Sources with the various name versions and
b) Merging/Deleting the changed Repository names
any advice would be useful, I can't find anything useful in the Help files.

I presume you mean you have created two slightly differently named Repository Records for the same actual Repository.

To find which Source Records link to a Repository Record do the following.
On the Records Window choose the Repositories tab, and select a Repository Record.
Use menubar View > Record Links.

However, that is not needed to merge the two Repository Records.
On the same Repositories tab, select the two similar Repository Records.
Use menubar Edit > Merge/Compare Records and click OK.
Check the desired Name is retained, and all the fields match, etc.
Finally click Merge, or click Cancel if not happy.
When Merged, the Source Record links will be automatically updated.
