I have just started to enter a huge amount of baptisms, marriages and burials. I am really lucky as a lot of my ancestors stayed in one place for generations. However, if I use sources and citations it will create hundreds!
Would a better way be to use just facts?
What would be the best way to tackle this.
Thanks
Jane

Sources and citations
The best way is to use a combination of Facts and Sources linked via Citations.
I advise using the free Ancestral Sources for Baptisms and Marriages, with Burials available in the next version, which is not too far away.
Have a look at the tutorials.
AS simplifies the repetitive burden of entering all those Facts and Sources and linking them all up in FH.
Many FHUG members use AS as their preferred data capture technique.
Do not worry about large numbers of anything, that is what FH is good at managing and reporting, etc.

Thank you Mike, I was a bit concerned about the number of citations I would be creating, as some of my ancestors had approx. 18 children. When looking at the head of the family facts tab it is extremely long when you consider that each child has census, residence, birth, baptism etc.
Have already discovered and used AS and yes, it is an excellent program.

If you create any fact you should always include a citation to link it to a source. When I started recording my family history 20 years ago I didn't bother with sources and citations and over the years I regularly kicked myself as I wondered where on earth I got that information from! You'll end up with hundreds of citations but that's something to be proud of, not worried about!
Thanks for the kind words regarding AS.
