To have a larger input box (width) when entering information into “Enter a Person's Name” at the start of the process. For although an unlimited amount of names can be added the surname and or some leading names can be hidden.

If you are using the property dialogue this is probably covered by 'make the property dialogue resizable'

Hello, iam not referring to the spread sheet. But the fixed individuel entey form. Were husband and members of the family can be entered prior to fuller details. The wiewing box for child is fixed to 24 charaters for name, that can be seen not entered. At the side of sex M or F, and date of birth.
So if you had the following
George William Shadrach /Akers/
so /Akers/ would be hidden.
This entry area can be rolled but is limited to 4 children.

Jane isn't referring to the 'spreadsheet' (Records Window) either. The property dialog she refers to is the screen you are talking about. Your suggestion is covered by the wishlist item she mentions as it would allow the dialog to be resized and therefore the text boxes within to be resized too.

At the moment this dialog is fixed size and so has to be quite small as it needs to work for people who still use 800x600 resolution where the properties dialog almost fills the screen.

That’s ok i was just confirming that we are talking about the same form.
Since there did not seem to be an form identity. You say that 'dialog is fixed size' to allow for the use of 800x600 resolution. However the box on this form can be made larger within the parameters without exceeding the boarders of the form.

Well yes it could be made a tiny little bit larger if it continued to be fixed size but if instead the dialog was made resizable users could make the choice for ourselves. I'd like to resize it to roughly twice its current size and hopefully this would make it possible to see more children, wider text boxes, more events, etc.
