I would love the ability to store historic events (together with piccies and web links for more info) which could then be viewed as a timeline against the life/lives of the person/people being viewed. Family Tree Maker has done this to some degree but the events displayed are pre-defined (and I find largely irrelevant).
I currently work round this by entering them as Sources in FH with a special Type of 'Historic Event' (which allows my web site to recognise them as something special) but this doesn't allow me to make use of the events in FH
