I would like to be able to fix an aspect ratio (e.g. 4:3) for the pictures used in reports so that they line up regularly. In particular face links, the frames for which currently appear to be selected only by eye.

This would need to be done in the media linking process, so I presume what you are asking for is a 'constrain ratio' option on the multimedia window?
