Gedcom exports

I would like to suggest that it would be more powerful if they could be based on queries, standard and bespoke.

The reason I want this is to be able to export a 'family gedcom' which is just part of a project, on more than one occasion.

Alternatively but less powerful, that the manually created export criteria can be saved, reloaded, edited and then run again.

You should be able to do this already. The export gedcom facility lets you select a named list so all you need to do is create your query and then add the result to a named list.

You can also do this directly using a query on both the Export GEDCOM and the split tree helper, just select the query option on the split and the select using query on the record selection panel for the export.

Another handy option is to use one or more queries to set a flag and then use the flag to select the records, this has the advantage you can 'tweak' the settings so for example when exporting to Ancestry I include my record and my husbands record, plus our parents (some of which are living) to have a full ancestor list while excluding all other living people.
