Footnote Gives Free Access for a Limited Period

Post by brian1950 » 14 Mar 2010 20:18

I pass on the following, which may be of use...

On Thursday I received an email from Footnote, informing that for a limited time they have made all of their U.S. Federal Census documents available for free.

However, you will need to register on their site in order to gain access to millions of records, including the 1930 census.

More information can be found at: http://www.footnote.com/

Footnote Gives Free Access for a Limited Period

Unfortunately their free access requires you to submit credit card information up front - in case you want to continue to subscribe.

I'm not real fond of that kind of offer and I checked out of their website.  Likely not worth it to me as I have an US ancestry subscription that covers a lot of ground and a library one with genealogy.com.

Good luck for those that find it helpful.
