I'm currently finding this site very useful for my few distant cousins in the USA, e.g. transcripts of US Censuses 1870, 1880, 1900, 1920, with images for 1870 and 1900, plus transcripts from various birth, marriage, and death sources from around the world (but mostly USA of course).  At least it's free:

Yes I use it a lot for my Cheshire research - they have most of the parish records for Cheshire indexed.
