How does one embed links in a post's text?

Post by Dagwood » 28 Sep 2012 10:09

I'm always impressed at how some members embed links in their posts. Often these take others quickly to other threads or knowledge base items and stand out clearly as they are normally in a coloured font. The problem is I don't have a clue as to how one does that. Could anyone give advice please? Or perhaps insert a link to where I can find out? [wink]

[ This new Forum uses BBCode that supports a different set of codes. ]

The codes being discussed here are UBBC or Ultimate Bulletin Board Code tags.
See Wikipedia BBCode for more details.
The codes listed there are supported here, except for

Code: Select all

  [s]    [:-)]    [table]
plus some others such as

Code: Select all

[small]  [/small]     [big]    [/big]       [sub]    [/sub]     [sup]    [/sup]
[strike] [/strike]    [pre]    [/pre]

[wink] [rolleyes] [tongue] [confused] [eek] [frown] [evil] [bones] [ninja] [llama-banana] [tarzan]
that produce:
                [small]small[/small]            big             [sub]subscript[/sub]            [sup]superscript[/sup]
                [strike]Strikethrough[/strike][pre]          Preformatted text[/pre]
