I am looking for a couple of old posts of mine and am using 'Original search' with my username. According to my profile I have 'Forum Posts: 58' and the returned quantity of records are 'Total Matches: 42'. It seems the posts I am looking for are in the missing 16!
I have tried paging through the sections but I am not sure what section I posted in and the general section throws up an error when going back to many pages: 'There has been an error in data transfer. The site admin has been notified of the problem.'
Any other way I can use to find the posts?
I have just found one post using the google search and leaving my user name out as I remembered part of the text I want. But the other I can not do this as I do not know what I am looking for as that is what I want to find!

Thank you for the link Peter and that explains some missing posts but it does not help me find my old posts. It would be good as you suggested to be able to search the archived posts as well.
I may have to post the same question again which defeats the object of archiving.
Also why was one post with my username not found and when I removed my username it was found?
Is it also correct that this forum version is from 2006?

I have a feeling there is a problem with the forum as the earliest General post I can find is 04/06/12 and the latest archived post I can find is 25/06/09. A differance of 3 years using the page buttons.

There appears to be something odd going on at the bottom of the General Forum on page 4.
The last entry is Forum posting lost by Jim with an invalid date, and list of page numbers 1 to 16, most of which when clicked yield an error message:
There has been an error in data transfer. The site admin has been notified of the problem.
Maybe this is where those three years of messages are hiding!
