V4 confusion

Post by rodit » 14 May 2009 03:07

I have just been reading the posts about 'free' upgrades from V3.1 to V4.
Is this factual? I was under the impression that it had to be purchased, either as a download or a CD and I am presently waiting for Goulds in Australia to receive CD's so that I can go ahead.

Is a free full download available, or not?

Roger

If you bought V3 after V4 was announced, you got a special deal to get a free upgrade to V4 when available. Presumably they had to do that otherwise the announcement would have killed sales of the current version.

Thanks gents

I have had my V3.1 for some time so will wait for the CD - I prefer the CDs to downloads as I know they are sitting in my cupboard for future use if my PC or hard drive goes 'belly up'. This has happened on a couple of occasions.

Thanks agaon

Roger
