GEDCOM

Post by katethompson » 04 Mar 2007 17:11

I would like my cousin in the States to have access to our family tree but he does not have Gedcom. What is the best way for him to download it so that he can read the file? I should add that he only has dial-up!
Thank you
PS Jane has very kindly given me the answer, because I sent the question to the wrong place, but she thought others might wish to contribute.

I suggested the FH Demo,  another option might be the basic, but quick to download

I know it's a competing program to FH, but PAF from the Latter Day Saints is free and can display a Gedcom file. It's diagraming is very basic so it depends on the recipient's knowledge of genealogy as to what use they get out of it.
