Hello, please redirect me if needed to established thread if it exists. I am aware of the 'Record Scholar as Occupation' option. Is there a way of having this fact entered as 'Education' rather than 'Occupation'? I am manually having to change this within FH4 and then deleting all 'Occupation: Scholar/School Child' entries. I just can't consider Scholar/School Child as 'occupation'.

Thanks, Shaun Moorcroft

No there isn't. Personally I never record scholar as an occupation, I just leave it blank in the grid and fill it into the source text underneath.

It is possible to do this kind of edit directly on the GEDCOM file using a text editor such as GedPad or PSPad.
See http://www.fhug.org.uk/wiki/doku.php?id ... s:textedit
I think GedPad would work well in this scenario for replacing one Fact Tag with another.
