Register as Event Type in FH

Post by jclifford »

I have been trying to create a FH query to collect Individuals who appear in censuses.

This worked fine for the 1939 register when AS were calling it a Census, but now it is a Register FH does not seem to recognise 'Register' as a valid Event type - =FactLabel(%FACT%).

Any thoughts?

I thought they were still recorded as Census events in FH as far as I understood. They are simply called Register (in AS) as they aren't really a census (similar to the electoral rolls) but use the same recording method as a census as far as AS is concerned.

That is the Generic Type of the Source record and has nothing to do with the Fact on the Individual Facts tab which as Chris suggested is still a Census Event so =FactLabel(%FACT%) still returns 'Census'.

If you post screenshots of your Query Columns and Rows tabs we can advise where it is going wrong.

Thank you both.

I don't have a problem now, just a mistaken assumption.
