I think the latest version of this extremely useful plugin has a fault. See the attached image which is self explanatory. The in-built Find and Replace worked perfectly for this though.

Not self explanatory to me!

Have you got Newline characters in the Search and/or Replace text, in which case the error message is valid.

Or if the bug that you haven't got such trailing characters?

I just typed "did:" and "dis:" in the two fields, simple text.

I can't reproduce the problem, sorry. If you're sure you haven't got any trailing invisible characters (have you tried selecting from the position after the : to the end of the each box and pressing delete?) then Mike is going to have to deal with this.

That is what the Show White Space option is for! It shows rogue space, tab, and newline characters.
