Tips and Tricks for Rich Text Editing

Post by jelv »

In the discussion here it was suggested that a knowledge base article was needed to cover features of editing rich text that are not covered in the existing documentation.

Could people contribute suggestions for what should be covered in such an article please.

I'll start it with the feature from the discussion that kicked this off:
  • Resizing table columns including use of the shift key to resize one column only without resizing the adjacent column.

Also in connection with tables, can I add
I've used this method to precisely define the column width values, rather than the rather hit-or-miss approach of dragging the dividers till it looks more or less right.

Definitely just sleeping... and even if it only has two items in it, they're useful items!

I've added Tips and Tricks for Rich Text Editing to the Notes subsection of Entering and Editing Data.
I've also added Glossary entries for Rich Text and Text from Source.
Any feedback or comments are welcome.

Thanks, Mike. I've added a link to the FH7 help for 'Note Window' for completeness.

I suggest we leave this here for a while in case anyone comes up with anything else that it makes sense to include.
