* Property box panel size not remembered
Property box panel size not remembered
On the property box, I would like to keep the size of fact details minimised so that I can see as many timeline events as possible. However, when I drag the dotted section down (circled in red), FH does not appear to remember this and always expands back to the maximum possible size after some time... is there a way to force it to remember the position I'd prefer?
As a side note, the vertical panel size seems to be maintained (to the left of the property box when docked), but not this horizontal one in the property box itself.

Re: Property box panel size not remembered
It is certainly consistent here, just tried it and as you say, it reverts when you restart.
Bug? Enhancement request?
I'm intrigued by your Facts display - how did you get the symbols in the Facts?

Thanks, Neil - hopefully others can recreate the "problem" as well.
As for the symbols, I added them as part of the summary template for various facts. Tools > Fact Types... > select a fact > Edit... > Advanced... > and then select the 'Summary Template' and change it however you wish. For example, my birth summary template is:
The symbols are just simple 'emojis' which I selected from the Windows menu (Windows key + semicolon key). Some of them don't print out very nicely in FH, whereas others look OK.
Hope that helps

Re: Property box panel size not remembered
I find that sizing gets reset as soon as another window in FH is displayed such as Records Window, Map Window, etc.
When you return to the Property Box Facts tab the horizontal bar is reset to roughly in the middle.

Re: Property box panel size not remembered
Indeed it does. I hadn't tested that way.
So if CP are allowing us to 'customise' the window with drag bars, this must be a bug, as the customisation is lost on changing window or restarting FH

How do I report to CP? Is it raising a ticket via this link? http://support.calico-pie.com/open.php

Re: Property box panel size not remembered
Oddly, if you have the 'Sources For' pane displayed at the bottom of the Property box, the position of the horizontal bar above the 'Sources For pane' is remembered. So the two dividing bars behave differently. The inconsistency suggests a bug.
Sarah, yes raise a ticket on the page you gave a link to.

Re: Property box panel size not remembered
I do find the auto reversion useful after I've been fine-tuning the display (aka messing about
) - especially if the display alteration is unintended.

Re: Property box panel size not remembered
Thanks all. I have now raised a ticket with CP for investigation.
EDIT: Support have stated that this is "not a bug" as the feature is "working as designed". They have passed it on to the devs for evaluation and also suggested that I raise a wish list item here, which I will do.
