Removing the border from an image
Just wondering if it's possible to remove a border from an image added to a 'book'? The image - a death notice from an online newspaper - doesn't appear to have a border - see first image attached - but there is dark border when inserted into a book. Pernickety I know, but I'd like to remove it if possible, or at least make it lighter / grey ..... thanks

Re: Removing the border from an image
Hi Deirdre.
Sorry, but it seems that is not possible. There appear to be no Report Options for the image border.
I tried Tools > Preferences > Media > Colours... and set each one to white but they only affect the Media window and tabs and Diagram images, but even then not all colour settings apply in all displays, e.g. images all still had grey shadows.
I am tempted to say that is a fault that could be reported to CP via http://www.calico-pie.com/osticket/open.php but it should mention that the Colour settings do not appear to be applied consistently everywhere images are displayed in Media tabs, and Focus, Media, Diagram & Report windows.

Cheers Mike, it’s not always very noticeable but this one jumped out at me so i assumed it was the photo itself, but it was ‘clipped’ from a newspaper and had no border. Not a big problem, i’ll just have to accept as one of those things.
Thanks for looking into it,
Deirdre

Re: Removing the border from an image
When I investigated I discovered:
Tools > Preferences > Media > Colours... allow many Items to have a colour defined.
The Help says they are "applicable to the Media Window and, in some cases, the Media tab of the Property Box."
However, they also apply in some cases to the Diagram Window and the Media tab of the Citation Window.
It is not obvious nor explained what feature each Item affects.
It would be logical if they applied to Report/Book images, Diagram images, Focus Window images, Media Window images and Media tab images in a consistent manner.
For example, the Diagram image borders and Media tab thumbnail borders can have their colour defined, but Report/Book image borders and Media Window thumbnail borders cannot be coloured.
I've requested that at least the Help should be corrected and improved to identify exactly what each Item affects.
