External File Link Anomaly

Post by McHooty » 16 Mar 2023 10:42

Morning All

Just wondered if anyone could help clear up this anomaly for me. It's nothing serious, just irritating my OCD gene.

External File Link is reporting a missing file, but it is in a project that has been deleted (using File>Project Window>More Tasks). I can confirm through File Explorer that neither the location nor the file exists.

Any ideas welcome

The screenshot shows you have a media record with ID 881, presumably in your main project 'Huteson & Burmany Family'. Media item 881 is referring to a file in your deleted project 'Huteson & Burman Test Project'. So if that image is somewhere in your main project then click the Re-Map button and choose that image. If you don't have that image anymore then I'd try and download it again if possible (e.g. from Ancestry or Find My Past and save it into the appropriate place in your project media and with a suitable name and then re-map to that.
