source-driven data entry for 1921 census
Having recently obtained a lot of data from the 1921 census I decided to upgrade to Version 7 of FH as it includes inbuilt data entry (rather than using Ancestral Sources). I find that there is no template for the 1921 census data entry. Will this be made available?

Unlikely.
You could try the Record Census Data (UK) Data Entry Assistant which supports the 1921 census across the UK, or create your own template (perhaps starting from a clone of the 1911 census template). Note that the census templates provided only cater for the English census for the most part; Wales, Scotland, Ireland, Isle of Man and Channel Islands have some differences.

Why not continue using AS? Now that I finally understand how to use it properly, it's my go-to for entering events/sources. It supports the 1921 census. Are you looking for a source template?

Re: source-driven data entry for 1921 census
Thank you for your helpful comments. I was happily using Ancestral Sources but when I learned that V7 of FH included the tools for data entry that was what made me pay the £60 for upgrade. I'm disappointed to learn that 1921 has not been included. I will look at creating my own template once I get my head around how to do it.

One of the tools that V7 includes for data entry is DEAs, and the Record Census (UK) DEA does include 1921, as I've said.
However, if you're happy and familiar with AS , keep on using it.

It’s worth emphasising that while the new FH7 Source-Driven Data Entry has probably not enticed many existing users away from AS (judging purely by comments here), there is far more to the new version than that.
You won’t regret your upgrade, as it is a much more rounded and capable product than FH6.

If you have v7 of Family Historian, then Ancestral Sources will allow you to create rich-text source text (with tables, different coloured fonts, etc.). It also supports the new Templated sources in v7. You may find the videos in the AS Youtube channel helpful if you want to use these features: https://www.youtube.com/@ancestralsources

I concur. The source templates feature is fantastic and makes my work so much easier. I use them in conjunction with AS whenever possible, and alone for entries AS doesn't cover. They're super easy to clone and edit. That alone made the upgrade worth the money for me.

Re: source-driven data entry for 1921 census
I have done this and can confirm it works beautifully. I demonstrated entering a census to a library patron last week, showing her how I was able to use my own template, imported to AS from FH. She was suitably impressed.

Re: source-driven data entry for 1921 census
Have you tried using the inbuilt data entry in FH 7 for one of the earlier censuses? I did once after I upgraded to v7 and went straight back to using AS.
