Hi, I am experimenting in preparation for creating my first book and am fortunate to have a number of family group photos I would like to incorporate as full pages. I have searched the forum and help files but cannot find how to insert images. An individual narrative report or family report automatically inserts a headshot for each individual.
I anyone can help or at least point me to what I may have missed in the forum I would appreciate it
thanks
Steve

Re: Images in books
Hi Steve.
There are several options you could consider.
There are several options you could consider.
- You mentioned Individual Narrative Reports and Family Group Sheets automatically insert a headshot.
The Report > Options > Pictures tab gives you many options that govern those photos.
You can customise how many are included, where they are located, and their size.
So you could include all your family group photos in a Custom large size that nearly fills each page. - You could include a Media Report for each photo but it may need similarly customising to adjust the size and data.
The Report > Options > Pictures tab sets the size, the Data Items tab lets you Hide data, and the Main tab has options for a Caption, etc. - It is also possible to use a Blank Diagram and insert the Picture image and associated Text Boxes.
That must be saved as a Chart and inserted into the Book using the Saved Chart... option.
There is advice in the FHUG Knowledge Base Creating a Book under Book Free Page Content. - Finally, you can use the Blank Pages (placeholder) Book option and save the Book as PDF or RTF and insert the photos using an editor externally to FH.
